Universidad.es at the Portuguese education fair Futurália

28-03-2011.

From 16 to 19 March, the Lisbon International Fair Centre hosted the third Futurália education fair, the largest event of its kind in Portugal. The fair was attended by the following Spanish universities: IE University, the University of Granada, the Public University of Navarre, the University of Salamanca, and the University of Vigo, with the support of the Universidad.es Foundation and the Education Section of the Spanish Embassy.

More than 37,000 students from all over the country had the chance to gather information on the 384 institutions from Portugal and elsewhere represented at the event. Among the degrees on offer in Spain, Portuguese students showed a special interest in the degree in Medicine in Spain, given the high entry mark required and the limited number of places offered by Portuguese universities.

The Spanish universities at the Fair made presentations of their teaching and research, and the Universidad.es Foundation also made a general presentation of the Spanish university system as a whole under the title “A presentação do sistema universitário espanhol”, which was attended by a large number of Portuguese students.

Universidad.es is a public sector foundation that aims to promote the Spanish university system throughout the world. The foundation was set up by the Spanish government with the support of Spain’s universities, the regional governments and other institutions. Universidad.es was formally constituted on 23 December 2008
