For the third consecutive year, the Universidad.es Foundation was one of the key actors in the Colombian Europosgrados fair, which was held in the cities of Bogotá, on 25 and 26 November, and Medellín, on 28 November. At Europosgrados Colombia 2011, more than 15,000 Colombian students had the chance to see for themselves the wide range of postgraduate studies on offer at universities in Spain and in the rest of Europe.

At this year’s event, Universidad.es coordinated the presence of 17 institutions, the largest delegation of European universities. Other well-represented countries were the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
For three years now, the Universidad.es Foundation has organized this important event together with its counterparts in other European countries: the DAAD (Germany), the British Council (United Kingdom), CampusFrance (France), the Istituto Italiano di Cultura (Italy) and Nuffic (Netherlands).

The aim of Europosgrados is to promote exchanges between higher education institutions in Latin American and Europe, and to encourage the mobility and training of students, teachers, professionals and scientists in both directions.
While in Colombia, the representatives of the Universidad.es Foundation took the chance to discuss matters of interest to the university authorities of both countries. They met members of the Colombian Institute of Educational Credit and Technical Studies Abroad (ICETEX), and the Colombian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education.

Universidad.es is a public sector foundation that aims to promote the Spanish university system throughout the world. The foundation was set up by the Spanish government with the support of Spain’s universities, the regional governments and other institutions. Universidad.es was formally constituted on 23 December 2008.
