The academic year

The vast majority of Spanish universities divide the academic year into two semesters. The first usually starts in mid-September or early October, and finishes at the end of December; the exam period is usually in January. The second semester usually starts in late January or early February and finishes at the end of May.

June is the exam period. This calendar may vary slightly from university to university.
